TIFF Residency 2018

TIFF Residency will take place for the third time and this time it will focus on program activities. In July we will host Agnieszka Olszewska, m.in. the director of the Krakow Photomonth, who as part of her stay will learn about Wroclaw’s cultural institutions and people who are responsible for creating programs in them. She will also cooperate with the Programming Council of TIFF Festival 2018 to create a program of events, the results of which can be observed during this year’s festival in September.
Agnieszka Olszewska is a cultural manager, producer, and curator, who mainly works in the field of photography. She completed the post-graduate Cultural Management course at Warsaw School of Economics, as well as programmes at the Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź, Faculty of Photography, and the Jagiellonian University, Faculty of German Studies. She holds a PhD in humanities. Dwernicka has been director of Krakow Photomonth since 2013, and chairwoman of the Visual Arts Foundation since January 2015. Between August 2016 and April 2017, she also worked as a curator and producer of artistic residency programmes at the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews. In addition to her main activity at Krakow Photomonth, she carries out portfolio reviews, serves on multiple competition juries, and advises photographers on their work.
